Daily Intentions

New book by Ann Blakely Rice offers
Simple Spiritual Solutions for a Complicated World

When open-hearted readers take 20 to 30 seconds to read one page of Daily Intentions, they feel better.  Ann Blakely Rice is able to offer readers threads for a healthy love—love that leads to respect for themselves and others.  Ann wants readers to take hold of those threads and unravel awakenings for each day.
Daily Intentions speaks to people where they are. Whether readers are facing a family, business or personal issue, they can hold the book to their hearts and let it open to a page which is written just for them.  Some readers read the book in sequence and some let it open creatively.
No matter how it's read, Daily Intentions gives us a guidebook for receiving what Ann calls "the highest potential for ourselves and others"—one of wishing to serve others, while still being attentive to our own needs and dreams.
When readers read Daily Intentions, they feel like they are talking with a friend.  She gets who and where they are.  Ann has fun and sprinkles humor along her path with a gift of perspective.
Ann wrote this book to give back to others. In extensive research involving 200 community and industry leaders, she asked, “What would the community be like if everyone had a Daily Intention for the highest potential for themselves and others?” (To see videos, listen to music and learn more you can check out her website
www.daily-intentions.com.) Astoundingly, CEOs as well as young entrepreneurs said the same thing. The most prosperous and giving leaders said that they, in fact, have a Daily Intention—they want to aspire to their highest potential and feel good and give back this inspiration to the communities where they live.  They went even further to say that with a Daily Intention, they see their family, business and community life as more peaceful, healthy and environmentally cleaner.
For Ann, the message was clear.  This research inspired her to continue her plan to help make the concept of Daily Intentions available to all people in all countries around the world.

  REVIEWS
Daily Intentions by Ann Blakely Rice
I have been reading Ann Rice’s book Daily Intentions for several weeks, but I keep coming back to the entry for January 9. “The soul is fed by the living waters from the river of a positive mind.” This book of spiritual encouragement is designed to be read one page per day, but I am fascinated, if not obsessed, with this one sentence and the concept of “living waters.” Somehow, I feel that if I can master the intent behind these words I will attain something great in terms of inner growth. I found this book to be uplifting and inspiring. Jessica Bryan, Independent Book Reviewer

By  DAR "Geek Girl" (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
I got this book as a gift and started to read it right away. Then I put it down. Instead of reading it the way I would normally do, now I pick it up each day and read just one page. The insight always hits home - and ironically, it usually applies to the day I read it. I've been trying to read it at different times in the day. It seems like it's best for me to read it at mid-day. I can stop and think about my morning and how I'd like to adjust my afternoon and evening. I'm not a big inspirational book reader but this book is different. I'm so glad the author chose to share her thoughts with the world. She has taken the time to really think about things that bother us and give us insights on how to make changes. Wouldn't it be a better world if everyone just took the time to think about doing a little good? In a world that is cynical and insincere, the truths in this book ring true. Thanks, Ms. Rice, for your intentions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, November 17, 2007
This book is incredible. I read the intention for each day and, quite often, just open randomly and read the message. It never fails to inspire me. It is amazing how Ms Rice hits home with each entry. I have tabbed a number of pages, that I refer back to on a regular basis, that meet a particular need or, simply, uplift me. Thank you, Ms Rice, for this wonderful book.
